Why did you proclaim Waste Reduction Week? :
GEEP (Global Electric Electronic Processing) Canada Inc. believes in a sustainable future and is proud to support Waste Reduction Week in Canada. We are committed to effectively and responsibly managing one of the fastest growing waste streams: e-waste. As a leader in managing the complete lifecycle of IT assets, we provide individuals, companies and municipalities with the means for safe and complaint reuse and recycling of their electronic waste; search the hashtag #GoGreenWithGEEP. We strive to achieve a zero-landfill objective by extending the useful life of electronic devices; through absolute data erasure they can be refurbished and repurposed without any security risks. If this is not possible, our end of life services provide maximum recovery of natural resources through compliant and environmentally friendly operational practices. GEEP annually processes 130+ million lbs. of e-waste and securely remarkets for reuse 500k electronic products.

What commitments/initiatives has your community, organization, or school taken on to reduce waste & support a circular economy?:
Outfit our offices and employees with reused electronic devices, encourage e-communication (to avoid paper waste), reuse of packaging materials, encourage the use of reusable cups/mugs and have easy to access recycling bins in communal kitchen areas. During WRW we are hoping to organize an internal e-waste collection drive with our employees.
