Join us under the stars for an outdoor documentary screening in the backyard of the Reep House for Sustainable Living in Kitchener!
In the modern world, humans have adopted a linear pattern of consumption: use, dispose, repeat. But it is clear that this way of life is not sustainable. The path to the future therefore lies in circularity. But what does that look like? This question is answered in Going Circular, a new documentary film that explores what a circular model of consumption is, and how we can use it to repair and reinvigorate the environment.
As part of this year’s Zero Waste Challenge, join us for an outdoor screening of Going Circular at the Reep House for Sustainable Living on October 8th and spend an evening under the stars learning about the circular economy and how we can use it to leave our children a community that is more resilient, vibrant, caring and sustainable in the future.
There will not be vehicle parking available at the Reep House for Sustainable Living during this event. We encourage participants to bus, walk or bike in!
About the Film:
Going Circular dares to imagine a future where humankind not only survives, but flourishes, by rethinking global paradigms and respecting the limits of our planetary resources. In the documentary, meet four groundbreaking thinkers who navigate environmental, economic, and social crises of the modern age. They each discover that the solutions for creating a circular economy and planet have already been perfected in nature itself.
Please note: There will be washroom facilities available for use on the second floor of the Reep House for Sustainable Living, but we do not have an accessible washroom.
