Pop-up Clothing Swap

Did you know that Canadians throw away 37kg of clothing that is still useable every year? Let’s extend the useful life of our clothing for as long as we can! Join us and celebrate Waste Reduction Week in Canada in Nathan Phillips Square! Recycling Council of Ontario, The City of Toronto and Value Village will be hosting a pop-up clothing swap as part of Waste Reduction Week in Canada. Come and swap out your old Halloween costume for a new one, pick-up a new winter coat or find some new additions for your wardrobe! How does it work? Bring your gently used clothing items (see below for acceptable items) to the pop-up swap tent in Nathan Phillips Square between 10am – 3pm on Tuesday, October 17 2017. For every acceptable item you bring, you’ll be given a swap ticket you can use to pick out and take home a ‘new to you’ item. Don’t have anything to swap? You can buy swap tickets for $5 each (3 tickets max). Money raised will be donated to support waste reduction initiatives in Ontario.
